After a successful trip in 2016, Josh returned with his family for another try at Lake Erie walleye near the end of August. His wife Tia couldn’t make the trip this time. He brought back with him his oldest son Quintin, youngest son Christian and first timer on Lake Erie JP, who works for Josh.
The boys showed up full of anticipation as we pulled out of Lorain Harbor. The weather was perfect and the walleye could not have been more co-operative as they attacked everything we threw at them. Color didn’t seem to matter as 3 or 4 rods were bent over all day waiting their turn to be reeled in. With a bunch of bonus white bass and a lot of throwback walleyes everyone was worn out as we hit the harbor with the cooler over flowing with the catch. Josh said the boys were still talking about the trip a week later and can’t wait for the 2018 trip to OH-IO. Better to be lucky than good!
