I am often asked questions about Lake Erie and why I decided to become a Fishing Charter Captain 15 years ago. I usually begin by sharing that after 63 years fishing on Lake Erie off of Cleveland, Lorain, and Marblehead; I’m still not used to this awesome gift that is Lake Erie.
I confess that after being a Lake Erie Charter Captain for fifteen years, I still get nervous and have trouble sleeping every night before a charter. EVERY night…just ask my wife of 43 years. During my pre-charter insomnia, I decide at which GPS coordinates we will start the day and what program we will run.
Cripes, I should just sleep, because my program always changes when I get to the boat and see what the weather is doing and hear from my network of Captains out there.
When I start sleeping through the night before a charter, I’ll probably retire!
I’ll sleep when it snows,
Captain Moses
