The walleye fishing season on Lake Erie has gotten off to a great start. There are more walleye in the lake than ever before because of the great hatches over the last several years. Last year we were throwing a lot back because of size. Now those fish are between 18 and 20 inches long with many fish from 22 to 32 inches being caught. What a thrill!
My weekends in May, June & July are, pretty much, filled up with charter reservations but now that I’m 66 and have everyday that ends in y off, I can fish all week. 🙂
As you can see, from the photo, the walleye are plentiful. Better to be lucky than good.
