My long time friend, surgeon and fishing customer Dr. Dave Baringer lost his battle with cancer September 1 and is now catching his limits of walleye and perch in that great blue lake in the sky. My dear friend will be forever missed until we’re trolling or anchoring for our favorite fish together when we meet again. My heart goes out to his wife Margie and son Jake.
I had Dave’s niece Carly Glending, her boyfriend Mark, and friend Opie out on a charter Monday that was scheduled before Doc passed on. It was hot with absolutely no wind and everyone on the ship to shore radio was complaining how fishing sucked and nothing was biting. Well Dave, we could feel your presence with us today as we filled the cooler with walleye and white bass probably throwing back more than 30 fish today and losing a dozen or so from letting my crew fish. Thanks, Dave. I wasn’t lucky or good today because I knew you had my back. Love and miss you so much!
