Aside from the great family from Kentucky out for a charter last Sunday, Memorial Day weekend was mostly reserved for Lake Erie fishing with family. Saturday I went out with my daughter and her family and had a ball pulling in yellow perch. Monday I went out with my oldest son, Jason, and his family. The youngest in the family, seven-year-old Ryder, graduated from perch fishing to walleye fishing this weekend. The first walleye he pulled in was a Fish Ohio, measuring 29″ and 10 pounds. We fished for two hours and our grandkids Ryder and Sophia (12) managed to boat 5 walleyes. After that we were all ready for a pool party at Nana and Momo’s house.
