The last couple of weeks have had high winds and a lot of cancellations. Thursday was the last trip of the season and charters for the season on the big boat. I had my friend Anthony out with my son Jason for one last trip Thursday. We arrived at the boat at 8:15 and started setting lines as soon as we got out of the harbor. We trolled out and had caught our limit of 18 walleye, 5 giant white bass. We also caught a bonus 26 inch steelhead that put on a heck of a show 20 feet from the back of the boat. We shortend the leads and trolled close to the foghorn and caught 4 more walleye that we released. We headed in after an awesome day. Now time for the Fall Brawl with the smaller boats while Noah’s Ark gets put to bed for the winter. What a fabulous year of walleye fishing and I have already started filling the calendar for 2019. Better to be lucky than good!
