For years, Jim and Ron stop by to see the catch from that days charter. Jim had his grandson Zack visiting and wanted to get him out for walleye but hadn’t had a lot of luck catching them. Both boat owners on my dock, they got together and booked me for the day. Zack had never caught a walleye before and was really excited to catch that first one. As luck would have it, the first fish of the day was a sheepshead and the second was a white bass. There were no bites for the next 5 minutes and then we hit the area that I have been working for a few weeks. Two rods started to bend at the same time and it continued non-stop, catching many doubles and triples at the same time. I asked Zach early on if he would like to net a fish. He said no that was ok, I could net them. I told him I knock a fish off occasionally and it’s no big deal. Zack netted the next one and continued to net every fish after that unless it was his turn to reel one in. We ended up with a boat limit of 24 and everyone was ready to get in out of the heat. The next day Jim said Zack was still talking about how much fun he had. Better to be lucky than good
