Tadd became our foster son when he was 14 with his brother Eric who was 15 at the time. Our bio kids were pretty much grown up. Out of the 5 children we fostered these 2 brothers and their families have remained close for almost 20 years. Tadd joined the Army and has done two tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan . Tadd his wife Katie and their three children (grandchildren) showed up at the marina at 7:30 this past Sunday morning. They all love to fish and Tadd handled the lines and the netting of fish like he has been first mating for years. He remembered all I taught him years ago. It’s amazing how that works when you love what you are learning. Within a couple of hours we had their 30 walleye limit and were headed back to my house to clean the fish, jump in the pool, and stay all day to celebrate another grandson, Kaya’s 16th birthday, who happens to live right next door. Awesome day for the memory books.
