Jim, his son Caleb and Uncle Bill have been steady customers for several years. There has been a 2 year gap since the last trip because the weather wasn’t cooperative. Caleb really looked forward to this trip. We headed out of the harbor and set up where I finished with boat limit on the previous trip. For the first half hour we hadn’t had a bite and the fish finder screen was blank. I work with several other charter captains whom I share information with. The captain that I helped the other day and put him on the fish returned the favor. He called and said the fish moved out into deeper water so we started to troll north. We found the fish and all of a sudden after a little concern from the guys on how the fishing was going to be this trip, the fish started biting with a frenzy. In a couple of hours we had their limit of 18 walleye with 4 bonus walleye bringing the total to 22 walleye and a few large white bass that made it hard to close the lid on the cooler when we transferred the fish over. Jim thanked me for an awesome day and said they would see me next year. Better to be lucky than good. 🤗🐟
