Mick and his son drove up from Akron/Canton area for an evening charter from 4pm until 8pm. We headed out to where I finished up on my morning trip. It was my first time for two trips in one day in the 21 years I have been chartering. With the unstable weather and the shorter 2 person 4 hour trips, it was a great way to keep up with the requests. It started out a beautiful evening and we had 2 fish on before I could get the 4th rod out. Then it was nothing for over an hour and the marks on the sonar were not there like the morning. You could already get the feeling that the guys were wondering if we were going to get another fish. I moved the boat out to deeper water and changed one side of the boat to a different program and we had a double on right away. As we figured out what, where and speed the walleye wanted, it turned out to be an awesome night. They caught their limit and both had a great time netting all the fish and working the rods. Better to be lucky than good.
