Phyllis and Wayne/Brian. One of my bad habits is when I call you by the wrong name you are called that name the rest of the day. Wayne informed me when the day was almost over that his name was Wayne and not Brian. He and Phyllis were giggling about it most of the day.
This awesome retired couple have a bucket list and on Wayne’s list, he always wanted to catch a walleye on Lake Erie. It was Phyllis’s job to find a charter they think would fit. After looking at several on the web, she decided on Noah’s Ark and yours truly. They showed up in their white pickup with a camper on the back traveling all the way up from Enid, Oklahoma. We headed out and the lake was choppy. In a couple of hours we had their limit and 4 bonus walleye totalling 16. They said they had plenty of fish and after their first experience on the Great Lakes they were ready to head in. They both enjoyed the trip very much. They had a chance to meet Linda and after cleaning their fish they were headed for Amish Country for horse and tractor pulls. They left and gave me a big hug each when they left. My new best friends from OK were on their way to check off more items on their bucket list! Better to be lucky than good.
