Three generations of Mark’s family showed up to fish for walleye on Lake Erie. He told me he was bringing his 6 year old named Joey. I told him we usually recommend children be at least 8 because they loose attention and want to go in early which makes for a quick expensive trip. I said you know your son’s attention span better than I do so you decide. Well, Joey would have stayed out for a week if he had to. He was all in and participated in everything from netting the fish to reeling them in all morning. They caught their limit and went home saying they would be back and it was the best trip they have been on since they started fishing together. Better to be lucky than good.
